Purpose and Progress.

I make progress in painting when I have a clear purpose. I can fix my will and transmit a vector to a point in a future where I've created the painting I imagined I could paint.

I couldn't always do it. It was frustrating. But I had a purposs which caused refinement in technique and ability. My process of painting was led by my purpose for painting. I wanted to get the paintings I imagined I could paint into the world.

I practiced.
